The idea for the AMMOBOX originated through study of the vintage wooden ammobox and evolved by replacing the wooden panels with a more resistant, durable material like Plexiglas to enable the case be transparent and robust. Less obvious components have also been upgraded with the original steel nails being replaced with INOX Steel and Aluminum Rivets.

The cover of the AMMOBOX is regulated by two gas pistons that make the opening of the case not just secure (anti-rebound system) but also pleasant. The pistons lift the cover with a constant automatic movement which gives AMMOBOX a unique style.

Every AMMOBOX is comprised of two distinct components. The first, in a rectangular form, equipped with a cover whose opening is regulared by two telescopic gas pistons. The second component is an AMMOTRAY, which is the element that accomodates the cartridges within the AMMOBOX. AMMOTRAY is therefore an integral component of the box itself but can also be ordered separately, enabling ammobox owners to easily interchange trays tailored for different calibers. Robust yet light, the tray is equipped with two handles to facilitate transportation as well as rubber feet which ensure stability. The ammunition slots in every tray are precision cut so that each cartridge rests perfectly in its place. The capacity of the tray is 100 rounds with the exception of the .50BMG for which 50 rounds can be accomodated.

In the future AMMOBOX will also be available to order for shorter calibers. The addition of a security key and the introduction of an LED backlighting system are all new characteristics that are currently in the pipeline. Today an AMMOBOX for handguns is already in production for a US Firearm Manufacturer, PSA, who are the exclusive producers of the world famous Baby Browning in caliber .25ACP and have requested an exclusive line of tailored ammunition boxes to display 12 models of the Baby Browning.
